Description:

An exceptional rosewood and tulip wood writing table profusely decorated with ormolu mounts, the standard of this tables manufacture is second to none, it is in extremely good original condition throughout. The Vellum green and gilt tooled leather inset writing surface has been replaced, circa 1920.
Linke was born on 17 June 1855 in the small village of Pankraz, in what is now the Czech Republic. He spent most of his working life in Paris and contributed pieces to the 1900 Paris Fair.
